 +123  Mod v2.2

February 27, 2008, 3:19 am - triphamm3r

+123 Mod v2.2

This mod adds an EXCESS of 123 modes/maps into the SWBF2 Game.

The installation of this map pack does NOT change ANY originally installed SWBF2 game files. The maps are simply deposited in the "Addon" folder or the self extractor creates the "Addon" folder if you don't have one and deposits the maps there. Once installed, the new maps/modes should show in the SWBF2 map list game interface.

+123 v2.2 is the patched version of +123 v2.0 with mission fix & mission fix2 included. This version was repackaged by ]v[ himself (the modder responsible for this awesome mod and the SWBF1 maps included with it). [SL]Sprite has been in contact with ]v[ and working with him to get this special packaged 2.2 version for the easiest installation for the players at GWL without having to worry about patching with the fixes.
GOOD JOB SPRITE!

Maps included in this Mod include Hero Assault on all the SWBF2 shipped maps and also Hero Assault on the added SWBF1 maps in the mod.

Galactic Civil War on Geonosis and Clone Wars on Hoth and Endor.

A "Prison Break" style of play with Bespin Cloud City and Death Star Maps using the Episode 4 Heroes

Hunt modes with Temple Security on Coruscant and Palace Guards on Naboo.

Added Space maps like Space Mustafar and Space Kamino.

Hunt modes on Polis Massa with Gungans and Ewoks, and Republic against the Empire on a few maps as well as CIS against Rebels.

SWBF1 Maps, Yavin IV: Arena, Bespin Cloud City, Rhen Var Citadel and Harbor.

Players are encouraged to install this map pack to keep SWBF2 fresh, exciting, and enjoyable. If a map from this mod is randomly chosen for competition at GWL, the map would fall under the Mod Map rule for competition. But despite this compromise... players are STRONGLY encouraged to install this map pack for a more enjoyable experience in the game and competition.

Mod Maps
If a team/player does not want to play the mod map selected they can declare in the matchcoms that they do not want to play the mod map. The map will not be played and this does not require consent from the other team/player. Any rejections of the use of mod maps must take place no later than 36 hours after the challenge is accepted. If a team/player rejects the use of a mod map, the other team/player will choose any standard SWBF2 map they want for the match. If a team/player agrees to use the mod map ("agreement" being no dispute to map choice within 36 hours in matchcoms) they cannot later reject the use of the mod map.

Installation:

**BEFORE YOU INSTALL** Using Windows Explorer navigate to:
C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Battlefront II/GameData/Addon and delete these folders: BF2, AT4, AT5, BS1, BS2, GO1, KM1, RH1, RNV before you install +123 v2.2. The folders you are deleting represent the mods that are no longer approved for competition at www.globalwf.com which include +123 (original) and the GWL Custom Map Pack.

If you never installed the previous GWL approved mods (+123 v1.0 and the GWL Custom Map Pack) then you don't have to delete anything. Simply Install the +123 v2.2.

===============================================

To install manually without the self extractor:
This is for the ppl who like to do it themselves or who want the map pack in a version that is just the map folders zipped up.

Once you have deleted any old versions of BF2 folder and any other GWL mods listed above, extract folders BF2 and DLC to:

C:/Program Files/Lucas Arts/Star wars Battlefront II/GameData/Addon

Steam Path: C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Star wars Battlefront II/GameData/Addon

*Adjust path for Windows Vista/7.
*If you do not have an Addon folder create one in the GameData folder.

+123 v2.2 Zip file
can be downloaded
HERE

===============================================

Windows XP - CD/DVD Version Only (Vista/7 users should use zip file above.)
To install using the "Self Extracting" Zip File:

This takes all the guesswork out of installing the mod. Running the self extractor will deposit the files in the default installation path /Addon. If you've installed to a different drive/location other than the Lucas Arts default location (C:Program Files/Lucas Arts/Star Wars Battlefront II), the self extractor will also let you choose the path/drive to extract to.

Once you have deleted any old versions of BF2 folder and any other GWL mods listed above run the +123 v2.2 self-extracting Zip file. The folders BF2 and DLC will be extracted to the default Lucas Arts SWBF2 install path:
C:/Program Files/Lucas Arts/Star Wars Battlefront II/GameData/Addon

GWL +123 v2.2 "Self Extracting" Zip file
can be downloaded
HERE

===============================================

[b]For Server Admins

+123 v2.2 has been zipped with the Sound Folder's removed for server installation.
For download and server installation instructions click HERE

Always be sure that your game is closed when removing or adding mod maps to your Addon Folder. If your game is open during installation the maps may not function properly.

===============================================

Special Thanks to ]v[ in his efforts to make SWBF2 more enjoyable. AWSM job !

Squeddie's Map Pack

Squeddie's Map Pack
<< - Click Here for Download - >>

Squeddie's Map Pack has been approved for competition at GWL. The installation of this map pack does not overwrite any SWBF2 original game installation files. The maps are large so they will only be included for the larger ladders (6v6, 8v8).

The Following Maps are included in this map pack:

Ancient Research Facility (GCW, CW)
Dantooine (GCW, CW)
Italia (GCW, CW)
Kastel (GCW, CW)
Tynna Valley (GCW, CW)
Nelvaan Village (GCW, CW...Although included in the map pack, Nelvaan Village will not be added into competition because of multiplayer instability of the map. The map does play fine for single player.)

PLAYER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Extract the all files to: C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Battlefront II/gamedata/Addon (Making sure you are extracting using folder names) or just copy the "SQS" folder in the zipped file to that same location. If the "Addon" folder does not exist, you must create one in that location.

SERVER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (For PC servers running the BBO SM Ver. 1.10)
Extract all files to C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Battlefront II PC Server/Addon
(Making sure you are extracting using folder names) If the "Addon" folder does not exist, you must create one in that location.

For the server to run these maps correctly... you MUST delete the Sound folder from the "SQS" folder you've extracted into the Addon folder.
(C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Battlefront II PC Server/Addon/SQS/data/LVL_PC/sound)

REMOTE SERVER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (for server providers using BBO SM Ver. 1.10)
Login to your server account. Create an Addon folder wherever your swbfsm.exe resides. Upload the "SQS" folder to the server to the Addon directory.

For the server to run these maps correctly... you MUST delete the Sound folder from the "SQS" folder in the Addon folder. (IE: .../Addon/SQS/data/LVL_PC/sound)

Contents of the Global Warfighter League COD:WaW All in One Server Package
  • COD:WW Server Setup Readme - contains instructions for setting up server with contents of this package and how to set server up for a GWL match.

  • mp_gwl_openwarfare - copy this folder and ALL of it's contents to the /mod directory.

    Folder Contains:
      z_openwarfare.iwd (v1.6.2)
      mod.ff (v1.6.2)
      z_svr_rs_gwl.iwd (v1.1)
      gwl.cfg
      gwl_hc.cfg
      gwl_bolts.cfg
      gwl_bolts_hc.cfg
      gwl_pistols_hc.cfg

  • Files to be placed in the pb directory - upload files contained in this folder to the pb directory.

    Folder Contains:
      pbbans_lg_gwlcod5.cfg (v1.1)
      pbbans_lg_none.cfg

  • (Optional) Files to be placed in the main directory - contains match.cfg with scorebot variables to use for matches. Must be uploaded to the main directory. You must change server name, password, rcon password, welcome message and # of slots on the server if you use this config.

*If you don't use the match.cfg mentioned above, you will need to add the following variables to your server config in order for the scorebot to work properly.

      sets __Game_Allies_Scores ""
      sets __Game_Axis_Scores ""
      sets __Game_Mod ""
      sets __Game_Mod_Version ""
      sets __Game_Round ""
      sets __Game_Scores ""
      sets __Game_Status ""
      sets __Match_League ""
      sets __Match_League_Long ""
Server installation instructions:
Please take note where you will need to upload a folder and it's contents or just files from that folder.
  • 1. Stop the server - you should always stop server before installing or removing any files

  • 2. **You will need to add the following lines to your server.cfg file in the /main directory.
      sets __Game_Allies_Scores ""
      sets __Game_Axis_Scores ""
      sets __Game_Mod ""
      sets __Game_Mod_Version ""
      sets __Game_Round ""
      sets __Game_Scores ""
      sets __Game_Status ""
      sets __Match_League ""
      sets __Match_League_Long ""

If these variables are not present in the server.cfg file, the scorebot will not work. You can continue to use your default server.cfg file in the main directory, with the lines above added into it.

**A generic match.cfg including the variables above is included in this package in the Files to be placed in the main directory. You must change server name, password, rcon password, welcome message and # of slots on the server if you use this config.

  • 3. Upload/Copy the mp_gwl_openwarfare folder and ALL of it's contents into the mods directory.
      mod.ff
      z_openwarfare.iwd
      z_svr_rs_gwl.iwd

gwl_pistols_hc.cfg - GWL COD:WaW Hardcore Pistols Only Ladders

  • 4. Upload/Copy the files contained in the PB Configs folder to the pb directory on your server.

Files to be placed in pb directory:
      pbbans_lg_gwlcod5.cfg
      pbbans_lg_none.cfg

  • 5. Change your startup command line - this varies on server companies or if you are hosting from a dedicated box.

You will need to add the following 2 parameters to your startup command line:

      +set fs_game mods/mp_gwl_openwarfare

      +set fs_localAppData C:\COD_World_at_War
      (path to CoD:WaW root directory)

If you do not know the path to your servers CoD:WaW root directory, then enter the following command in your server's console (or through rcon) and it will return the root directory:

    /rcon fs_homepath

    Example from a dedicated box:

    C:\COD_World_at_War\CoDWaWmp.exe +set dedicated 2 +set fs_localAppData C:\COD_World_at_War +set net_ip 12.34.567.890 +set net_port 28960 +set fs_game mods/mp_gwl_openwarfare +set sv_maxclients 32 +set sv_punkbuster 1 +exec match.cfg +map_rotate

**localAppData may be different between server providers. If you are unable to add the localAppData parameter through your command line changer, you may need to contact your server provider to make these changes for you.

  • 6. Be sure the GlobalWarfighter League flag is checked at PBBans under Enhanced League Options.

    • login to your AccCP at PBBans
    • Manage servers
    • Modify
    • Check GlobalWarfighter League (under Enhanced League Options)
    • click Edit Flags

  • 7. Start your server

SWBF2  Version Verification Tool (GWL Launcher)

October 27, 2010, 8:09 am - [SL]Sprite

GLOBAL WARFIGHTER LEAGUE'S
SWBF2 VERSION VERIFICATION TOOL

** ALL players are required to use the GWL Launcher for all GWL SWBF2 matches. **

The current version of the GWL SWBF2 Launcher is available for download HERE

To view results for a GWL match, visit the Global Warfighter Verification Results page HERE

ABOUT THE GWL LAUNCHER
  • The GWL Launcher is now required for all GWL SWBF2 matches. Failure to use the GWL Launcher by any player for a match will result in a loss for that player/team.
  • The GWL Launcher is an essential part of the Global Warfighter SWBF2 Version Verification Tool.
  • This program will launch your SWBF2 game for a Global Warfighter match and take you to the match server. After the match is played, the player closes their game and the launcher's log file is uploaded to GWL and the launcher will close by itself.
  • The GWL Launcher runs in the background during a match using minimal resources and will not affect gameplay.
  • While running in the background, this program will check your SWBF2 game files to verify which version of SWBF2 you are playing and check your processes to verify there is only one instance of SWBF2 running. The SWBF2 game version allowed for competition at GWL is v1.1.
    • Any files or patches that change originally installed SWBF2 game files are not allowed to be installed on your game during GWL SWBF2 matches.
  • Steam users can play in offline mode by following the directions below.
HOW THE GWL LAUNCHER WORKS (Instructions)
  • Before starting the GWL Launcher be sure that all copies of SWBF2 are closed.
  • Steam users must exit Steam before starting the GWL Launcher. Steam
will launch with SWBF2 for the match. (See "Steam Users" below)
  • Start the GWLauncher.exe (Double click or run at command prompt)
  • When opened, the GWL Launcher will verify that the correct version of the GWL Launcher is running. If you are not using the current version of the GWL Launcher, the program will close and the Downloads page will open so that you can download the current version.
  • Select from the list of GWL Approved Servers or enter your match server IP address: IP.IP.IP.IP (press <Enter>)
  • Enter your match server port number such as: 3658 (press <Enter>)
You may also enter the port with the IP address: IP.IP.IP.IP:PORT (press <Enter>)
  • Enter the match server password (must be 5-15 alpha/numeric characters): XXXXX (press <Enter>)
  • Select your profile, if you have more then one profile saved in game. Your game profile name should be close to your GWL SWBF2 Name GUID.
  • Enter your GWL SWBF2 Name GUID as it is in your GWL user profile. (press <Enter>)
  • Once you've entered your GWL SWBF2 Name GUID - Hit any key to connect to the game server.

      STEAM USERS
    • The GWL Launcher will ask you, "Would you like to run Steam in 'Offline' mode? (Y/N)"
    • If you enter No, Steam and SWBF2 will start in Online mode.
    • If you enter Yes, you will get the following message: "If Steam does not offer to start in Offline mode then select 'Go Offline' from the Steam options menu and click the restart button. When Steam is running in 'offline' mode (go to the GWL Launcher and) hit any key to continue."
    • If you had to close Steam and were in Offline mode when Steam is restarted it will ask you, "Do you want to continue in offline mode or do you want to go online?" Click the button (Offline/Online) for the mode you prefer to use with Steam.

  • SWBF2 will start, it will stop on your profile screen. Your profile name should be close to GWL SWBF2 Name GUID for identification purposes. Select your profile and click Accept.
  • Your GameSpy screen will then appear for you to login.
  • If you use GameSpy, you should login with your GWL SWBF2 Name GUID. Once you login, you will join the match server.
  • If you choose to bypass the GameSpy Login - Click Join and you will join the match server without logging into GameSpy. **If you use this method, your game profile name must match your registered GWL SWBF2 Name GUID.**
  • If your connection to the server fails, do NOT exit the GWL Launcher or your game. Click OK, Refresh server list, find the match server, click Join and enter the password.
  • Play the match, the GWLauncher.exe will be running in the background.
  • Once the match is finished, be sure to Exit/Close your SWBF2 game completely.
  • The GWL Launcher will then automatically upload your results to the GWL Server. Once the file is uploaded, the GWL Launcher will close. This is a fairly quick process.
RESULTS
  • To view your results for a match, visit the Results page HERE. (Bookmark for future reference)
  • Match results are updated/verified every 10 minutes with uploaded results from GWL SWBF2 matches. Server password, date and time are used to identify each match. Click on a password to view results for all players who played in that match.
  • Players/Team Captains should check the Results page before submitting a loss. Once a loss has been reported, it will not be changed.
  • ALL players in a match must have a result for a match. If a team is missing a player's results, that team will receive a loss. If a player/team has a FAIL or admin check or is missing a player, Admin should be requested in matchcoms for an admin to review the results.
  • Results will show as "Pass", "Fail", or "Flag".

    • A "Pass" result indicates that a player is playing with originally installed SWBF2 game files per GWL SWBF2 Competition rules.
    • If a player has a "Fail" result, the reason for the "Fail" result will be listed on the results page for that match. If any player in a match has a "Fail" result, it should be posted in matchcoms immediately and an admin requested. A GWL SWBF2 Ladder Manager will respond in matchcoms and review the fail result for a player and determine if the player/team is disqualified for not playing with originally installed game files. Once a loss has been reported, it will not be changed.
    • A "Flag" result indicates that a player has remnants of a mod that changes originally installed files (an unclean uninstall). The player's originally installed files are NOT modified and this player can be considered a "Pass" for match reporting purposes. The player receiving the "flag" should contact an SWBF2 Ladder Manager ASAP to find out what files are being flagged so they can remove them from their game (a clean uninstall).
    • Please note that using a previous version of the GWL Launcher will trigger a FAIL summary result for that player/team even when each player is shown as a PASS. Make sure you're using the most current version of the GWL SWBF2 Launcher.
NOTES FOR MATCHES
  • The GWL Launcher is required to be used for ALL SWBF2 matches. This is not a negotiable option. Failure to use the GWL SWBF2 Launcher for matches will result in a loss for the player/team that didn't use it. If the GWL launcher wasn't used for the match then it wasn't a valid GWL SWBF2 match.
  • Team captains must provide server info in matchcoms at least 24 hours before match. Server IP, Port and Password are required information.
  • There must be a password for the match. The password must be between 5 - 15 alpha/numeric characters only. NO symbols.
  • Players must use the GWLauncher.exe to start their SWBF2 game for a GWL match.
**Do NOT run the GWLauncher.exe from the zip file. You will receive a "Fail" result for this.**
The launcher must be unzipped to your computer to run properly.
  • Players must close game as soon as match is over so their results file can be uploaded immediately. Closing your SWBF2 game will upload your verification results and it will also close the launcher.
  • Steam users can play in 'Offline mode' by following the directions above for "Steam Users".
